Hi Michael,
Sounds delish! I would add green bean casserole, Stuffing, okra, rolls, sweet potatoes, gravy, pecan pie, mac n' cheese! and some sort of sparkling cider.
I would love to help with this but I will be in Dallas as of Wednesday of next week. Happy Gobble Gobble! Miss ya.

Can't believe I forgot Pie!

mmmmm Pie....

T-day

Wes and I would love to come. I can bring cranberry chutney and sweet potatoes. I would be happy to help cook anything else.

No Pumpkin Pie? Mia Culpa!

Add a pumpkin pie to the mix. Not everyone like pecan (or mincemeat for that matter).
I can bring the dressing too.
And no Mashed Potatoes?
Do you want (dare I say it? a Tiramisu?) Let me know before hand.
Doug.

Adding Duck? Dropping Tiramisu

As I'm making a pie and stuffing and I bringing a duck from Spec's hopefully, how about dropping the Tiramisu. Doug

T-day

Michael,
I will also bring mashed potatoes, rolls, chocolate cream pie, (we need chocolate don't we?)
and wine of course. The gravy will need to be made from the turkey drippings. I can make that there if ya like. Are you going to brine the turkey overnight? Makes for very moist turkey. Let me know I'm happy to help.
Myrna
I assume it is at your house. Do you know what time? I can come early to help cook.

Finalizing

Hi All,
Okay, I think we have it mostly settled out! And I just knew taking the weekend off to just go out and play instead of being on the 'net would be good for me :) I've updated everything from the weekend changes. Robert's going to be in town (evil sister-in-law thing?) and since he didn't go pick anything yesterday, bwahahaha! I've given him Ham, Eggnog, and Chocolate Liqueur. Mmmmm, Ham....
Myrna, I'll take you up on the Gravy making. Brining the Turkey sounds like a great idea. And while I'm sure I can get something off the net, if anyone has a family recipe for such, I'll do that instead. As Alton Brown said, "Thanksgiving is not a time to experiment." Actually that quote reminded me he just did a show on brining turkeys (yeah I leave the TV on too much), so anyone have objections to me using his recipe? http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/good-eats-roast-turkey-re...
2pm sound good for sitting down? Anyone have a favorite board game? Or we could walk to the park after stuffing ourselves (allay some of that guilt)? Bring swimsuits if you want to use the hot tub...
I'll crack the first bottle of Zonin at noon (don't want to be accused of drinking in the morning now!), so arrive as desired or needed if you're cooking something at the house.
If I've left anything out, I'm sure someone will tell me ;)
